Getting Married

Dave and I are going to tie the knot!!!!!!!! He proposed officially this past Thursday (October 2cnd). What a night! He took me to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, which is where we ate on our first date. Then he took me on a paddle boat out at Tempe Town Lakes. While we were on the boat he gave me a picture frame with my two favorite pictures of us and a letter he wrote me. It was the most beautiful letter and at the end he wrote, "Will you marry me?" and he reached into his camera case and pulled out the ring. I cried (of course) and he said some really beautiful things to me. He is everything I could ever ask for and more. I cannot wait to spend eternity with this man.

So close

Sometimes I feel like I'm in a fairytale. David truly is my prince charming, he is my everything. I've never known a man with more patience and love. It's funny how you just know immediately that you are going to fall in love with someone. I can honestly say I loved him since our first date! Sitting across from him at Texas Roadhouse, seeing his face light up when he talked... it's all been a dream ever since. We have had our share of hard times, but it's the fact that we get through them and we never stop loving eachother.

"Oh how could I face the faceless day, if I should lose you now"

I love you Baby! Always and forever.

David Hyatt

LOVE is the title of my life! Just when I thought there wasn't an ounce of kindness left in this world, Heavenly Father blessed me with the most incredible man. He has etched this permanent smile on my face that not even a flat tire, screaming toddlers, or migraines can erase. The timing seems almost fateful! I could write a novel of reasons why I love him, but I will say simply this: That I have found the love of my life and I couldn't be happier.

When You Say You Love Me lyrics

by Josh Groban

Like the sound of silence calling

I hear your voice and suddenly I'm falling, lost in a dream

Like the echoes of our souls are meeting

You say those words and my heart stops beating

I wonder what it means

What could it be that comes over me?

At times I can't move

At times I can hardly breathe

When you say you love me

The world goes still, so still inside

And when you say you love me

For a moment, there's no one else alive

You're the one I've always thought of

I don't know how, but I feel sheltered in your love

You're where I belong

And when you're with me if I close my eyes

There are times I swear I feel like I can fly

For a moment in time

Somewhere between the Heavens and Earth

And frozen in time

Oh when you say those words

When you say you love me

The world goes still, so still inside

And when you say you love me

For a moment, there's no one else alive

And this journey that we're on

How far we've come and I celebrate every moment

And when you say you love me

That's all you have to say

I'll always feel this way

When you say you love me

The world goes still, so still inside and

When you say you love me

In that moment,I know why I'm alive

When you say you love me

Do you know how I love you?

Article for Church

"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."--Martin Luther King Jr.

I live by this quote! It applies to so many different aspects of our lives. With the emphasis of marriage upon us, it is hard not to let the concept effect our entity. Where marriage should certainly be our goal, we also should not lose sight of the present. Erlend D. Peterson based his talk Anxiously Engaged in a Good Cause on D&C 58:26-28 which states that " (Wo)Men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves." Our future well being is dependent on our ability to be self-sufficient. We must take every opportunity for ourselves which may endow us with success and prosperity.

In other words, stop focusing on the woes of "singlehood" and enjoy your life! Take a class, learn something new, reach out to others, and develop good friendships. In the wise words of Bob Marley, "Don't worry, be HAPPY!"

Happy to Be

In this moment, I am happy
simply to be
today is my focus, tomorrow my hope
a dream is had
to the sun I look
the moonlit waters
in my head
I dip my feet in what might have been
it is never too late
nothing is lost
I make dreams reality
using only my thoughts
time is flying
wisdom is gained
the lessons I learn
friendships I attain
love will come, and sometimes go
my future is eternal
my faith forever will grow
In this moment, I am happy
simply to be

Oh my my, Oh heck yes, got to put on that party dress!

Well I went to Tom Petty last night and I have to say that after the superbowl experience I didn't expect too much from the old man. So he comes out, sings a few good songs, gets a little tiresome in the middle and then......TOTALLY REDEEMS HIMSELF! I was blown away, truly. I'm sort of comma happy, because, commas, are, awesome, don't hate! :P

Probably my favorite two songs of the night were Gloria and American Girl. People were going crazy man! There was a grand piano, harmonica, strobe lights....brilliant. I couldn't help but have Coldplay on my mind though, that's where my heart is. They come November 26th and I want someone to come with me. You have to be a pretty devoted fan though, tix are 100 $$$!

Now I shall leave you with a few of my favorite lyrics from a couple amazing bands:

Coldplay (Politic)

Look at earth from outer space
Everyone must find a place
Give me time and give me space
Give me real, don't give me fake
Give me strength, reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Give me time give us a kiss
Tell me your own politic

Mr.Big (Next to be with you)

Build up your confidence
So you can be on top for once
wake up who cares about little boys that talk too much
I've seen it all go down
Your game of love was all rained out
So come on baby, come on over
Let me be the one to hold you

I'm the one who wants to be with you
Deep inside I hope you feel it too
Waited on a line of greens and blues
Just to be the next to be with you

Boo Boo

I finally learned how to Longboard! After David and I played a little racquetball and got attacked by bugs, we hit up the concrete for a good ol' boardin lesson. Just as I started to think I was a natural, I biffed it pretty bad. But this girl didn't give up, I jumped up and got right back on the board for some more. We are going to try again Thursday so I'll have some more photos up soon! :)
