"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."--Martin Luther King Jr.

I live by this quote! It applies to so many different aspects of our lives. With the emphasis of marriage upon us, it is hard not to let the concept effect our entity. Where marriage should certainly be our goal, we also should not lose sight of the present. Erlend D. Peterson based his talk Anxiously Engaged in a Good Cause on D&C 58:26-28 which states that " (Wo)Men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves." Our future well being is dependent on our ability to be self-sufficient. We must take every opportunity for ourselves which may endow us with success and prosperity.

In other words, stop focusing on the woes of "singlehood" and enjoy your life! Take a class, learn something new, reach out to others, and develop good friendships. In the wise words of Bob Marley, "Don't worry, be HAPPY!"
